Optional contract clause covering a crawler's injuries after release, which Tipid failed to negotiate.
Post-release health care is a term a crawler can negotiate into a deal, and it is the single most consequential thing Tipid left out of his. As Damien explains, some of the physical injuries to his body persist, so when he is outside the dungeon environment they resurface — the shaking hands, the numb legs, the hallucinations of blood and of Horatio's cries.
Without the clause, the Viceroy System surgery that fixes his brain lesions comes out of his own pocket: his entire Crawler Pension and an additional loan. Tipid did negotiate an extra season in the dungeon — but he spent that leverage on keeping Tipid's Key, not on his own health.
The overlooked contract clause that turns Tipid's survival into lifelong debt.
