Crawler Death Notice

Death Notice · Obituary Card · Dungeon Exit Listing

System obituary published when a crawler dies, listing class, race, top level, dungeon exit, and achievements.

Story so far

When a crawler dies, the system publishes a compact obituary. Everly's reads: Class Explosives Engineer; Race Primal; Birth Race Sward Mantis; Top Level 62; Dungeon Exit crushed to death on The Eighth Floor; Author of the fifth edition of the Dungeon Anarchist's Cookbook; Current status: Dead.

The format reduces an entire life and arc to a stat block for the viewing audience — the same audience that had just made her briefly popular. The "Dungeon Exit" line in particular treats a death as a departure event to be logged.

Role

The system's final word on a crawler, and the closing beat of Everly's chapter.
