Explosives Engineer is the class Everly carried to a top level of 62, recorded in the death notice the system displays as she is crushed on The Eighth Floor. It fits the mantis engineer who authored the fifth edition of the Dungeon Anarchist's Cookbook — the crawler manual most concerned with rigging, demolition, and improvised destruction.

Her class gives the chapter's final irony a sharper edge: an explosives specialist dies in a sealed room with no way out, buried in sand under a descending ceiling, unable to blow her way free.
