character

Tran

The crab-bodied crawler whose action figure still shouts never kowtow from a forgotten waystation shelf.

Story so far

Tran appears in the epilogue only through merchandise. Among the Veriluxx Real Pet Companion figures Zander is clearing off the shelves at Squirties sits a Raul crab action figure, modeled on the crab body Tran wears.

Knocked over by the flailing Uzi Jesus toy, it announces itself - Hello, fine warrior! I am Raul - and then, as Zander despairs about being indentured, delivers the line that has followed the character across the galaxy: Do not kowtow. Never kowtow. It is advice the bankrupt shopkeeper is in no position to take.

Appearance

Known to the galaxy in his armored crab body, faithfully reproduced in molded plastic.

Role

A crawler whose defiance has been reduced to a toy's catchphrase in the wider galaxy.

Relationships

Raul — The name and crab form his action figure carries
Veriluxx — Produces the figure based on him
