character

Diwata

Goddess who hates Carl, loose in the Club Vanquisher hallway simultaneously fighting and bedding Vertumnus.

Story so far

Diwata is one of the deities loose in Club Vanquisher after the gods start leaving the realm. Samantha warns Carl that Diwata is in the hallway he needs, having sex *and* fighting with Vertumnus at the same time — the two can't keep their hands off each other — and that it smells like someone dumped a barge full of mulch over a succubus's bachelorette party in there. Samantha, who has no love for her, calls her a slut.

Samantha also invokes her as the counterexample for Theia: her own mother, she insists, is not like Diwata and cannot just grow a dingaling. Carl, still carrying his Black Nimbus and marked for death by these very gods, refuses to find out whether Diwata is in the rushing mass of vines that sweeps past him — the moment he's noticed, they'll come for him.

Appearance

Associated with a rushing mass of god-vines that surges through the corridor, leaving rapidly-dying vines behind.

Role

A hostile deity blocking the escape hallway who marks Carl for death.

Relationships

Carl — Hates him; he is marked for death by her.
Vertumnus — Simultaneously fighting and sleeping with him in the hallway.
Samantha — Openly contemptuous of her.
