Tunnel Gate

Story so far

The main tunnel access route to the entrance of the Earth system passes through a gate, and Squirties sits just outside it to refuel the traffic. Under The Embargo nothing goes through: Zander has had no refueling customers in days and even the reporters have stopped coming, kept away by the threat of war and by the Mantis System going boom.

Before the shutdown the gate drew visitors of another kind — Zander assumes Eris must be a costumed fan of Nami who has come out to the gate to pay her respects. He also notes that at least he is not trapped on the other side of it, where the shooting is.

Appearance

A transit gate at the mouth of the Earth system's main tunnel route, now empty of traffic.

Role

The chokepoint whose closure isolates the Earth system and ruins those who live off its traffic.
