Story so far
The synergy tower's ability to upgrade Atrocity spells and allow them to be cast over a wide area is what turns War Crime from a narrow-cone spell into a true weapon of mass destruction. On its own, War Crime's area of effect is relatively low; with the tower, Donut can cast it on a large group of soldiers at once.
The tower's effect is tied into the bonus from War Crime itself, but Rosetta judged that even so, Hamzo would not cover a wide enough area — which is why the team switched to the Bijanbi variant of Dinner Bell.
Role
The force multiplier that makes War Crime viable against an entire army.
