Krakaren Prime is named by Eris in her briefing to Carl. The merchant Paca, who received the Gate of the Feral Gods from The War Mages at the Midnight Market and now carries it in her stomach, is an agent for Krakaren Prime, who is stuck in The Nothing.
The implication is that Krakaren Prime wants the gate, presumably as a route out of the Nothing, and that Carl taking it back would put him at cross-purposes with whatever it is. Eris's advice was to recover the gate anyway and hand it to the Skyfowl beneath his castle.
