The Nothing

The lightless void beyond the veil, now shattered by Justice Light's trap and draining into three separate realms.

Story so far

Juice Box fled the ninth floor by jumping into a permanent portal into the Nothing, made from the now-broken, blood-soaked The Winding Box recovered from the Gate of the Feral Gods. Justice Light promised to follow her and did not; he stayed behind so he could drop two more things through that same doorway.

When the legendary trap toppled, the Bijou Trap and the Demon Trap fell through, spilling thousands of threads still connected to the Bijou of The Twelfth Floor and thousands of evicted demons desperate for anything to latch onto. Four separate planes folded together, the tightening bijou lines drew a flower pattern, and the darkness at the center broke apart. The system announced that the Nothing had been broken and was now draining simultaneously into the Halls of the Ascendency, into Sheol, and into Scolopendra's Lair — waking Scolopendra.

Appearance

An absolute darkness beyond the veil, entered through a portal made from a ruined winding box; at its ending it folds into a flower-shaped pattern of tightening threads before the center tears open.

Role

The void whose breaking is the hinge of the whole war, dumping itself into three realms at once.

Relationships

Justice Light — Broke it deliberately with a single small trap.
Juice Box — Fled into it, alone.
The Winding Box — The broken artifact that forms the permanent portal into it.
Scolopendra — Woken by the Nothing draining into her lair.
