Smite

The divine penalty a god can inflict on a champion who refuses an order.

Story so far

Explained by Rosetta as part of the Champion of Nekhebit arrangement. Should the goddess want her champion to do something, she can order it done, and the champion must comply or face smite. This is the mechanism that makes the champion title, in Rosetta's words, not too unlike Conscription — though with a good deal more autonomy for Princess Donut.

Role

The enforcement mechanism behind a god's commands to their champion.

Relationships

Champion of Nekhebit — The title whose obligations smite enforces.
Nekhebit — The goddess who can invoke it against Donut.
