Conscription

The draft King Rust's deal exempted his harem from, letting them sit out the war in hiding.

Story so far

Prepotente explains that King Rust's individually brokered deal with the AI allowed his courtesans to enter the dungeon as non-combatants who were unable to be conscripted.

That exemption kept Rust's Harem out of the Faction Wars entirely; they had been in hiding since Rust's death, surfacing only when the ball broke and Li Na's marks came due.

Role

The draft the harem's non-combatant status shielded them from.
