Story so far
Immediately after Akuma's final message in Warlord Chat, a Warlord Message arrives: Warlord Akuma has left the realm; as per the current season's ruleset, the War Mage Rebellion has been defeated, and they have no assets to award.
The announcement makes the war mages' collapse official — and pointedly worthless, since a defeated faction normally hands its holdings to the victors. Baroness Victory leans on exactly this to dodge Carl's questions, telling him the team is officially defeated and therefore no longer under her authority. Whatever Akuma took with him, including The Scavenger's Daughter, is now beyond the system's accounting.
