Floor-Wide Reassignment

The Reassignment · Reassigned for the Floor

Mass redeployment of a floor's indentured workers to new posts, invoked by showrunners under a contract need clause.

Story so far

Reassignment is the event that drives the chapter. Damien's Newsletter reports that as The Eighth Floor opens, The Reavers are moving a whole floor's workers to different jobs — Dante off the Trap Master Guild, Justice Light off his shop, both of them to Snow Castle Guard Captain posts.

It doesn't happen often, but it isn't the first time, and it happens most when the Showrunners are cheap: paying to create new types of unavailable NPCs costs more than moving staff who already exist, and the contract permits it whenever a "need" is declared. Non-Combatant markings do not block it. Vacated posts get a Bopca or a Generated NPC, and workers are advised to back up their stock configurations and put anything they care about, like Fabric Art, into storage. For Dante this particular reassignment is fatal.

Role

The order that pulls two non-combatant NPCs into a combat-adjacent post as the eighth floor opens.
