Battalion Structure

Numbered Battalions

The crawler army's organization into specialized numbered battalions under colonels reporting to the Warlord.

Story so far

The Southern Front showcases how far the crawler army's organization has developed. Numbered battalions are built around specializations rather than raw strength: the 102nd Bulwark Battalion consists mainly of defense-oriented mages and fortification engineers with only a thin smattering of hand-to-hand experts, while the 106th Bloody Leeches supply warriors, trap mechanics, and thieves.

Each is led by a colonel — Boomer commands the 106th — and the system reports battalion strength percentages to Carl as Warlord. Integration between complementary battalions is a deliberate command task, which is why Carl's first act at the front is to summon Boomer and Tran to the Planning Room. Alongside the line battalions sit the Special Operations Forces and a rear staff of crawlers who track the big picture from base.

Role

The crawler army's military organization, matching specialized battalions against specific defensive needs.
