Kimu was one of the twenty crawlers in Porthus's party who cleared the ninth floor, and one of those who did not take an Outreach Guild deal when half the group did. On the Tenth Floor - a barren world roamed by Behemoths hunting one last morsel - the party had to climb a living monster in search of the moving exit. Kimu was plucked right up off it and torn in half while Porthus watched.
As far as Porthus is aware, he himself was the only one of the group to survive.
