The Tenth Floor

The Faction Wars floor

The Faction Wars floor, ended with roughly twenty thousand crawlers alive and every exit deal worthless.

Story so far

The tenth floor is where Faction Wars was fought and where the book's crawl ends. About twenty thousand crawlers survived it - an accomplishment Quasar calls remarkable, and one that means work for half the attorneys he knows.

It is also why the exit deals stink. With that many survivors, the system has no reason to be generous: fifty seasons undead, a Desperado Club bomber's guild slot with a poisonous contingent exit clause, and the Chaco replacement, which is the only offer Quasar rates as anything but garbage and which he says would still stand at the end of the tenth floor. The tenth floor is also where York took his own deal, decades earlier, and exited the dungeon. Carl refuses, and the crawl continues to The Eleventh Floor.

Role

The Faction Wars floor whose enormous survival rate destroys the value of every exit offer.
