Level 62 Fortification Engineer whose hug and war chant turn Carl's arrival into a camp-wide ovation.
Penn is a tall, hugely muscular human sergeant in The Princess Posse Base Camp, a level 62 Fortification Engineer — one of the few classes gaining levels during the Ceasefire, since engineers level by building. Carl first sees him carrying a twenty-foot steel H-beam that must weigh two tons balanced on one shoulder.
When the camp notices Carl, Penn drops the beam, wraps him in a crushing hug, sets him down, and kisses him on the cheek with tears in his eyes. He then starts rhythmically shouting "hup, hup, hup" while pumping his fist, and thousands of humans, Skyfowl, Crocodilians, Bune, Yenk, and others take up the chant until the ground shakes. As abruptly as it began it ends; Penn claps Carl on the back, shoulders the beam again, and walks off toward the palisade construction.
A mountain of a man — tall, heavily muscular human — able to shoulder a twenty-foot steel H-beam weighing roughly two tons, with tears in his eyes when he greets Carl.
