Meow Time

Story so far

A large yellow bag of generic, cheap Earth cat food sits abandoned on the counter of Queen Imogen's Private Kitchen, leaning against the wall and closed with a little plastic clip. It is branded "Meow Time" and features a happy cartoon cat. A sticker on the bag reads "a gift from Pet Angels."

Its presence is so out of place that Carl finds it physically jarring. He cannot take his eyes off it, wonders whether it is what Ferdinand ate while living here in the castle — or before — and how it could possibly have gotten here, and feels an overwhelming urge to steal it. He notes that Donut would never touch the stuff.
