Gravy Boat

Ferdinand

The nickname Chaco insists on using for Ferdinand, dating to their confrontation at the Butcher's Masquerade prize counter.

Story so far

When Chaco arrives at the council and Ferdinand reminds him that they met at the Butcher's Masquerade prize counter — where Chaco refused to hand over a potion and the cat sentenced him to death — Chaco answers by greeting him as "Hello, Gravy Boat."

Ferdinand snaps back immediately: "Don't call me that." The name is a leftover from the cat's earlier crawl identity and clearly still stings, which is exactly why the game show host uses it.

Role

An old and unwelcome name for Ferdinand that Chaco deploys as a needle.

Relationships

Ferdinand — The cat who bears and rejects the nickname.
Chaco — Uses the name deliberately to needle him.
