Psychosis-Induced Suicide

The system's kill ruling for Stockade's self-destruction, denying anyone credit for the warlord's death.

Story so far

When Commander Stockade finishes smashing his own brains out against the ballroom floor, the system announces that the warlord of the The Democratic Sortion has fallen and that "credit for the kill has been ruled as a psychosis-induced suicide."

The ruling is quietly significant: nobody — not Carl, not Shi Maria, not The Madness — gains credit or reward for eliminating a world leader, even though the Insanity spell that killed him came out of Carl's chest. The follow-up messages classify the defeat as voluntary, which routes all the sortion's assets to its nearest ally and triggers Acceleration Scenario Two.

Role

The kill-attribution ruling that denies credit for Stockade's death and classes it as voluntary defeat.

Relationships

Commander Stockade — The warlord whose death received this ruling.
Insanity — The spell that ultimately caused it.
