Herman the Fleet

Herman · Elite Herman the Fleet

Bespectacled ogre strongman elite who is turned into an unwilling suicide bomber against Carl.

Story so far

The third of the three ogre strongmen from Grimaldi's circus, Herman appears in the antechamber to the Flag Room tagged "Elite Herman the Fleet. Ogre Strongman. Level 70. Legionnaire. Princess Posse." Carl notes he looks like his brother Areson the Wise but far thinner and — bizarrely — wears glasses, as if the dungeon were signaling he is the smart one; all three brothers were once parts of a three-headed Nodling that died and split.

What looks like a man hunched over paperwork in dazzlingly magical gear is actually an elite writhing in agony, fighting his own compulsion. He snaps the desk in half, gasps "Been waiting. Brother says you good... Supposed to do it already. Been fighting it. Tell brother... tell sorry," and Carl realizes the glow is dozens of hidden explosive satchels. Donut hits him with Magic Missile and Baroness Victory splits his skull; the satchels begin destabilizing and Carl inventories the corpse whole. Victory blames Sensation Entertainment, Incorporated and The Dream for coercing him.

Appearance

A thin, glasses-wearing ogre with bulging veins, half the bulk of his brothers, dressed in clothes concealing dozens of explosive satchels.

Role

Princess Posse legionnaire weaponized by his corporate owners into an assassin against his own warlord.
