Retina Scan

Biometric Authorization

Three-part biometric check — hand, ring, and eye — required to authorize a transfer from King Rust's account.

Story so far

Kneeling over the fallen King Rust, Rosetta has already placed the king's fat hand atop her Colloid Bank datapad with one of his rings — pointedly not the Ring of Divine Suffering — inserted into the pad. What she is missing is the eye: "Quick, I need a retina scan!" she shouts, sending Carl scrambling for the severed head lying face-down in the grass several feet away.

Carl brings her the dripping head, something beeps, and she throws it back to him to inventory. The completed biometric set replaces the password Donut had understood was necessary, and lets the transfer proceed.

Role

It is the security gate Rosetta defeats by using the dead king's own body parts.
