Story so far
The former crawlers are the resistance's backbone. York is one, having taken his deal at the end of the tenth floor decades ago; Colonel Boomer is another, coming home from Faction Wars visibly aged; Porthus and Rosetta direct them. They onboarded into the crawl, fought, and are now loading back aboard the Homecoming Queen with breaching suits and Cronus-class Power Armor to begin phase two.
Seen from outside, they read very differently. Watching the news at Squirties, Zander sums them up as a whole fringe former crawler group mouthing off, with probably more shooting soon. He has seen war before and knows what it means for a man who sells fuel: war fleets do not buy it, they take it. The galaxy's most disposable people have become an army with a declared objective - stop the crawl or else.
Role
The veteran survivors who have turned themselves into the armed core of the resistance.
