Dispel
Anti-magic spell cast by an enemy war mage, strong enough to erase smoke and cancel dwarven tunnel fortifications.
Story so far
One of the Clockwork Mount War Mages casts Dispel on the haze from Carl's Troll Smoke Mantle, and every bit of the smoke vanishes at once. The same cast, however, reaches further than intended: it also cancels the magically fortified roof of the Dwarven Digger Tunnel beneath the battlefield, and the ground under Carl, Donut, Rosetta, Simoom, and Gonk simply disappears, dropping all five a dozen feet.
A Semeru Dwarves fortification caster shouts in disbelief that the dispel was strong enough to cancel the roof fortifications, and re-forms the roof immediately. Several enemy war mages fall into the tunnel too, where the dwarves note they are "not so tough with the magic turned off."
Role
Its overwhelming strength accidentally saves Carl's party by dumping them into an allied tunnel.
