Katia's benefactor — Prince Stalwart's sister — who spends a fortune arming Katia to counter the Skull Empire's hit on Carl.
Princess Formidable is Katia Grim's sponsor, and — crucially — sister to the Skull Empire's Prince Stalwart, working against her own family's designs on Carl. When Maggie My closes in to summon the pain-god Algos, Formidable rushes Katia an emergency Silver Benefactor Box (which, Mordecai notes, likely cost a sizeable chunk of the princess's net worth) containing ten Bolts of Petrify Rock Class — the exact countermeasure to freeze Maggie's Igneous host without killing it. That she sent petrify rather than kill bolts (more expensive) hints she wants Chris kept alive.
Her intervention marks her as a wealthy hidden benefactor spending heavily to thwart her brothers and protect Carl's crew.
A Skull Empire princess; her form is undescribed, known through her lavish, timely benefactor gifts.
Katia's deep-pocketed sponsor and a covert counterweight to her own family's war on Carl.
