The Skull Empire crown prince and Maggie's second sponsor, co-funding the god-summoning hit on Carl.
Crown Prince Stalwart, heir of the Skull Empire and brother to Prince Maestro and Princess Formidable, is revealed as one of Maggie My's two sponsors (the other being Maestro) — the same twin sponsors Chris Andrews 2 carried. Together the brothers armed Maggie with a scroll to choose a god, a box identifying the pain-god Algos, and the rare Celestial Grenade meant to kill Carl. Mordecai suspects the plan was arranged off-book via a bribed saferoom meeting, the princes wanting to finish Carl themselves rather than trust the bungling Maestro again.
Stalwart remains an off-screen hand behind the crawler-killer's assault, while his own sister Formidable spends heavily to foil him.
A Skull Empire crown prince; unseen this book, defined by his role as a sponsor and hunter of Carl.
A remote Skull Empire antagonist co-funding Maggie's assassination of Carl.
