Mongo

the dino-chicken · Royal Steed

Donut's velociraptor ends the Frank-and-Maggie saga by gleefully catching and devouring the ejected Maggie-worm.

When Carl's double-healing potion blasts the parasitic Maggie My Scree-worm out of his neck, Poisoned and thrashing, Mongo leaps forward, snatches her, and — on Carl's croaked 'Chew' — crunches the tiny crawler-worm into mulch, then vomits and re-eats the corpse for good measure, ending the saga of Frank Q and Maggie My. He stays close through the tense final confrontation with the burrowed Chris, the family's ever-loyal, ever-hungry joy.
