character

Hellik

Hellik is Emberus's bitter divine enemy and chief suspect in Geyrun's murder, though he possesses an alibi and may be innocent of that specific crime.

Story so far

Carl carries an Emberus quest requiring him to kill Hellik before reaching the twelfth floor. It remains unclear whether exonerating Hellik would cancel that demand because the two gods hate one another independently.

Hellik's Ares Warrior Clerics guard Club Vanquisher doors and treat Emberus worshippers as automatic enemies. Their doctrine insists a stained-glass image of Taranis is actually Hellik bringing truth to Apito.

Pater Coal says Hellik remains the top murder suspect but warns that Apito's situation may complicate the case.

Appearance

Not manifested; represented by hostile ram-headed clerics and a disputed angelic stained-glass image.

Role

Hellik is Carl's mandatory divine kill target, Emberus's rival, and possibly misleading murder suspect.

Relationships

Emberus — The gods are bitter enemies.
Geyrun — He is suspected of murdering Emberus's son.
Potsy — Potsy belongs to his militant clerical order.
Apito — His followers place him in a disputed sacred image involving her.
