Old Havana

Habana Vieja

Old Havana is the Royal Court's bustling eighth-floor starting zone, reconstructed as a warm morning of colonial streets, tourists, vendors, traffic, and displaced physical objects.

Story so far

Carl, Donut, and Samantha emerge from El Capitolio into a humid morning filled with colorful colonial buildings, classic American cars, Chinese and Russian vehicles, scooters, buses, parks, food vendors, and crowds.

The people themselves are untouchable memory images, but their clothing and possessions are physically present. Contact strips those objects from the replay and can send crawlers tumbling, while phones, currency, and maps remain functional until the floor ends. The city's traffic rapidly begins collapsing into chain-reaction crashes.

Appearance

Dense blocks of aging, multicolored Spanish colonial architecture beside crowded roads, palm-filled parks, and a bright blue coast.

Role

The Royal Court's first memory zone combines nostalgic Earth scenery with a hazardous, destructible simulation.

Relationships

El Capitolio Nacional de Cuba — The squad's saferoom and exit stairwell occupy the capitol building.
Miramar — The party travels east toward a second stairwell in this neighboring district.
Earth Memory Collision Cascade — Its dense traffic makes the simulation's collision rules immediately dangerous.
