Shepherd's House

Homestead Homeless Shelter

The marked shelter is a graffiti-covered industrial building whose breakfast memory contains a hidden Syndicate message and an aware resident.

Story so far

Carl reaches the shelter several hours early. A lit entrance with a wreath and a copy of the sponsor flyer leads into a dark dormitory holding rows of men, gray blankets, sealed storage tubs, heavy disinfectant, Christmas decorations, and a large cross.

Kitchen workers prepare breakfast behind double doors while the sleeping area is converted into a dining hall. The apparently ordinary memory includes a red-hatted regular whose routine matches old Syndicate Standard graffiti. At the appointed coffee moment, that man directly acknowledges Carl.

Appearance

A worn graffiti-covered shelter among fruit-packing plants, with a lit wreath above its glass entrance.

Role

The shelter conceals a cross-era communication point inside an otherwise ordinary and emotionally resonant memory.
