A party down to its founders, joining a guild on the same day its last outsider leaves.
The Royal Court of Princess Donut undergoes two changes at once this chapter. First it joins a guild: the system announces that the Royal Court is now a member of Safehome Yolanda, controlled by Team Meadow Lark, with Imani as guildmaster, level seven, six parties and sixty-three crawlers. A new door labelled Guild Common Area appears in the Personal Space and multiple upgrades unlock — a pet stable for Mongo, and the The Instacot 60 beds that install themselves over Mordecai's objections.
Second, it shrinks. Katia has come specifically to make the exchange and finally leave the party for real. Her reasoning is mechanical as much as emotional: every quest Princess Donut takes drags a matching one onto her, and soon she will be receiving her own, so they really need to disengage. Mordecai warns Carl not to place any upgrades until after Katia has actually left, advice that is promptly overtaken by events.
The party's remaining assets are the two founders, Mongo, the rock monsters including The Sledge, and now Samantha, who must be brought along on the next outing as the price of her silence. Its charisma — concentrated entirely in Princess Donut — is what the whole guild is relying on to make the upgrade purchase.
Embodied in the Personal Space beneath Point Mongo: a cramped stone home with a counter, a kitchen, beds, a Frogger machine, and now barn doors and a guild exit.
Carl and Princess Donut's party, now a member of Safehome Yolanda and losing its last non-founding member.
