character

Mordecai

Uncle Mordecai · Uncle Morty

Mordecai formulates an anti-Creeper weedkiller, prescribes extreme range and no fire, and becomes suspicious of how quickly Carl invents a working aerosol system.

Story so far

Mordecai combines Odious Bloom weedkiller with holy anti-undead enhancements and creates four jugs of Uncle Morty's Insta Lawn-Kill and Undead Repellant, Extra-Strength Edition. He estimates each jug can kill several Creepers if absorbed before the flammable liquid ignites.

He warns Louis to cast Tent the House only at maximum distance and tells Carl that the monsters can control foliage for at least half a kilometer. Three crawlers have already been squeezed to death and harvested for parts. Mordecai doubts Carl could truly derive and test his smoke-curtain solution in five minutes, but lacks time to press the concealed source.

Appearance

A rat-like alchemist guarding four oversized jugs of bubbling yellow potion.

Role

Mordecai provides the killing agent and the safety constraints for two different delivery systems.

Relationships

Carl — He suspects Carl's instant aerosol breakthrough has an undisclosed source.
Louis — He directs Louis to use maximum range and avoid ignition.
Odious Creeper — He formulates poison around their plant and undead traits.
