A football-stadium-sized arena where every crawler queues for class specialization before entering the sixth floor.
Instead of teleporting to a personal space, crawlers entering the sixth floor arrive in the The Staging Area, a room like a football stadium with a high ceiling and distant walls. Velvet crowd-control ropes on brass poles snake back and forth like a movie theater ticket line, red carpets cover the floor, and hundreds of single-door booths line the far wall. Inventory use is blocked inside. Every crawler must pass through the line for Specialization, even those whose classes cannot specialize.
Carl arrives about ninety minutes late from Orren's office to find only three or four hundred crawlers left, and ends up the very last one in line. NPC staff — crocodilians, cretins, and robed elves including Ian — wave people toward the doors, then begin rolling carpets, gathering ropes, and sweeping up while the floor's welcome announcement plays.
A cavernous stadium-like hall with distant walls, red carpets, velvet ropes on brass poles, and hundreds of identical single doors along the far wall.
The processing hall where crawlers choose their permanent class specialties.
