IT Security
IT Security controls departmental access and fields armed personnel; Mission now sees newly recruited workers breaking into a level below IT.
Story so far
IT maintains security staff who check passage through its metal gates and search staff even as they leave. Its workers also cover the Sheriff's Office when regular officers are away. Men in Security gray have fired down at Mechanical from the railings, while Peter Billings later said all IT security was a hundred levels away during his confrontation over a cleaning. Marcus Dent says he transferred into IT Security a year before his account.
In Mission Jones's encounters, guards control a temporary barrier at IT. One describes the recruitment of young men as hiring technicians, while Mission sees a Security member instructing recruits. The department has received many new white coveralls. Its ranks now include young men who were farmers, welders and pumpmen only the previous day; Mission sees recruits break into a level below IT, followed by screams and repeated sharp bangs.
