Marcus says he shadowed Deputy Willis before transferring to IT Security a year ago. After six weeks studying The Order, he feels ready for his new role. He states that maintaining the Order is his primary duty and that he must protect Life and Legacy above all.
Marcus and his girlfriend have applied for permission to marry. He says his great-grandmother died a few years earlier after sometimes speaking about the world before; doctors reportedly said she resisted her medication. Having read some of Legacy, Marcus asks Troy whether all of it is true.
