The neighboring silo’s farms retain some automatic support, but its cameras have long failed and water continues rising in the latest account.
Juliette reaches the neighboring silo beyond the hills, finding a sensor tower, bodies piled near the airlock, and breathable but foul-smelling air inside. Its familiar layout suggests another version of her home. Solo identifies it as seventeen and says its electricity apparently comes from elsewhere because it no longer generates power. A call from its line reaches Bernard Holland, contradicting his belief that it is dead.
Timed lights keep lower farms growing out of control, and scattered evidence of violence marks the structure. Juliette at one point believes only two adults remain, but survivors later choose rooms near the upper farms, children run and shout again, and floodwater is reported to be receding.
Accounts revisiting the collapse add a different perspective. Eren says the silo fell more than thirty years earlier without preceding unrest: the airlock opened prematurely for unknown reasons, a lower-level gas purge was followed by an upward-moving riot, and Silo One shut the facility down as people fled. Collapse codes followed an answered telephone call. Radio conversations from the aftermath describe farmers and armed survivors taking their produce, while Solo’s later explorations reveal continuing survival and flooded lower stairs.
The latest return to Solo’s years alone shows age degrading metal, rubber hoses, and adhesives, with insects around bodies and cool air rising from the flood. Unattended farms continue growing because some automatic lights and irrigation still function, powered by stairwell wiring from below his living area. In this account the cameras have long ceased working, and water continues to rise through the silo.
A deteriorating silo with crowded remains near its entrance, overgrown farms, wall-mounted stairwell wiring, and flooded lower levels. Metal structures, rubber hoses, and adhesives are decaying.
The neighboring silo supports survivors through remaining farm systems despite failed cameras, decay, and rising water in the latest account.
