Story so far

GrayCris is the predatory corporation whose willingness to murder helpless researchers for exclusive access to alien remnants drove the events of Murderbot's past. In the aftermath of the DeltFall massacre and the attack on Dr. Mensah's survey, journalists and lawyers are digging into GrayCris, and their investigation is surfacing a pattern of sketchy contracts and exclusive-use deals across many sites. Among these is an abandoned terraforming project at Milu, outside the Corporation Rim, which GrayCris walked away from without explanation.

Murderbot deduces that the Milu terraform was never real, but a cover for recovering and studying alien remnants or strange synthetics, and that GrayCris let the derelict facility be left to break up in the atmosphere to destroy the evidence. Proving this is exactly what Murderbot means to do.

Role

Principal antagonist organization; the corporation whose buried crimes at Milu are the object of Murderbot's mission.

Relationships

Milu — Ran the abandoned terraforming facility there, suspected of being a cover for illegal alien-remnant recovery.
Dr. Mensah — The public figure leading the call to investigate GrayCris's actions at Milu.
