Lambda

Lambda clan

Darrow's Red mining clan of Lykos, perennial also-rans to Gamma in the race for the Laurel.

Story so far

Lambda is Darrow's clan, one of twenty-four Red mining clans in Lykos, its two-hundred-plus drillers led by headTalk Narol and driven by their prodigy Helldiver Darrow. Marked by the Lambda "L" painted on their frysuits, they scrape by on quota while rival Gamma hoards the Laurel and its luxuries. They live in a hivelike township of homes carved into old mine walls, a great family of song, dance, and drink.

Darrow's record pull convinces the young Lambdas they have finally won the Laurel, only for it to go to Gamma once more.
