Dominus Portobello

the thirty-megaton atomic warhead

A compact thirty-megaton atomic warhead Darrow takes as an irreverently named contingency for the Venus rescue mission.

Story so far

Dominus Portobello is a black sphere the size of an ostrich egg, marked with a smiling fanged face and named by Screwface after he found it growing in darkness in an armory. Despite Darrow's jokey presentation, it is a thirty-megaton atomic warhead.

Darrow packs it as part of the exfiltration plan for the mission to the Dockyards of Venus. Its presence makes clear that the promised rescue of Sevro is designed with the capacity to threaten Apollonius's far larger military holding.

Appearance

A black, ostrich-egg-sized sphere with a smiling fanged face drawn on its surface, deceptively small for a thirty-megaton atomic warhead.

Role

The warhead is Darrow's extreme escape contingency for the Venus operation.
