Story so far

The Ravi is an older United Nations Navy escort corvette accompanying the science ship Charles Lyell toward Eros. Its first officer initially orders the dark-running Rocinante away, treating the armed Belter-looking vessel as an illegal obstruction to an Earth mission.

James Holden demonstrates the Rocinante's sophisticated target-acquisition system and threatens the vulnerable science vessel rather than the corvette itself. The Ravi brakes two million kilometers from Eros. Its captain, Captain McBride, remains wary of Holden but has lost the option of treating the station as a simple science objective; the appearance of more Earth ships may soon make that restraint temporary.
