character

Cassius Au Bellona

the Morning Knight

The Morning Knight, surfacing with the Sovereign's coup, who takes back his family's wolf ring from the fallen Darrow and vows revenge.

Story so far

Cassius au Bellona resurfaces alongside Aja as the Jackal's Triumph coup unfolds, his whole house destroyed and his mother Julia au Bellona behind the vengeance. Believing Darrow murdered the Bellona children as well as Julian, he kneels over the poisoned, paralyzed Darrow and coldly recites the dead—Julian, Lea, Pax, Quinn, Tactus, Lorn, Victra—declaring 'they deserved better than to die for a slave.' He strips from Darrow's finger the iron wolf ring Darrow won by killing his brother Julian, leaving the finger bare, and swears to hunt Sevro and Mustang with no mercy. Restrained by Roque and the Sovereign's order to keep Darrow alive for dissection, he lets the Reaper live only to suffer.

Appearance

A handsome young Gold with thick golden curls, a cleft chin, and golden eyes, sword arm restored; grief-hardened into a beautiful vulture.
