The predatory corporation behind the alien-remnant crimes, now moving legally and lethally against Dr. Mensah.
GrayCris, the series' principal corporate antagonist, is the corporation whose illegal alien-remnant exploitation Murderbot has been documenting since Milu, where it copied evidence from the terraforming-facility diggers and recovered a damning work-history clip from the assassins Wilken and Gerth. As book four opens, GrayCris has escalated from violence to litigation: it has publicly accused Dr. Mensah of corporate espionage and, by Murderbot's reading of the news, engineered her disappearance to the corporate hub TranRollinHyfa. The company's evident panic—moving against Mensah only after all the witnesses have testified and given evidence to journalists—suggests to Murderbot that something has changed and raised the stakes.
The armed hunters of Palisade combing HaveRatton for a rogue SecUnit are plausibly in GrayCris's employ.
An organization, not a person; represented only by corporate logos, litigation, and hired operatives.
