Ibrahim

The cell's ex-soldier, killed with the rest when Murtry's strike team burned the house down around the resistance.

Story so far

Ibrahim (Bram), the cell's respected ex-soldier who had thrown in with Cate's plan to murder Adolphus Murtry's team, Holden, and Amos, dies in Murtry's pre-emptive strike. Having bugged the town, Murtry's people surrounded the cell's house, and when the settlers opened fire they were cut down and burned inside — 'all of the terrorists were killed by the return fire.' Only Zadie is named among the bodies; Ibrahim, who hours earlier had half-threatened the departing Basia Merton and laid the burden of winning Holden on him, dies with the comrades he chose over restraint.

Appearance

A man of soldierly bearing, smaller than Basia, with a thin beard; last seen alive endorsing the cell's killing plan.

Role

Cell hardliner; the ex-soldier killed in Murtry's annihilation of the settler resistance.

Relationships

Cate — The leader whose killing plan he backed and whose fate in the burning house he shared.
Basia Merton — The former ally he half-threatened, who survived by having quit the cell.
