Trainyard Q

yard Q

Q got the monsters and the loose portal cart instead of the six hundred people it was expecting.

Story so far

Q was supposed to receive Daniel Bautista's group. Its cart — the one playing Def Leppard's "Rock of Ages" — never made its delivery, because it caught up with the abyss-bound cart in front of it and was swallowed by that cart's own portal, which is precisely the failure mode Carl had not thought through when he put staggered delays on the Alarm Module traps.

What Q got instead was traffic it did not order. Carl warned his contact there that they may have accidentally hurled a bunch of monsters in their direction, plus a cart with a dangerous portal attached to it. That is the same warning in two halves: everything the leading cart scooped off the Mindaro Line came out somewhere, and a live Debris Scoop loose in a populated yard is a hazard in its own right.

The yard's four hundred defenders at its instance of Station 36 were the reason Carl chose it in the first place, and they remain its saving grace — the best-garrisoned destination on his list is also the one now dealing with an unannounced monster delivery. Bautista's people went out through the abyss gate into Trainyard H instead.

Appearance

Unvisited by the party. Known only as a trainyard whose instance of station 36 holds roughly four hundred crawlers, and which has received an unplanned shipment of monsters.

Role

The intended destination for Bautista's six hundred — which received the leading cart's swept-up monsters instead.

Relationships

Daniel Bautista — His cart was meant to land him here and was destroyed by the cart in front of it before it could.
Carl — He warned his contact at Q that monsters and a live portal cart were on their way, which is the closest thing to an apology available.
Alarm Module — The Q cart's trap played 'Rock of Ages', a fact Carl only learned when it was too late to matter.
