Story so far
The last of the trapped crawlers pack into Station 101's train, overflowing from the passenger cars into the ghoul-transport containers, while a rearguard dies at the head of the stairs. Then a trio of Stage Three Monsters bounds down onto the platform with blinking red exclamation marks over their heads, one slamming into a passenger car and clawing at the doors with thick tentacles.
Carl throws the train into reverse from the front cab rather than walk the length of the train to the rear engine — the slave engine will push either way, at the cost of driving blind. The train hauls itself out slowly, then faster, with Brynhild's Daughters hammering on the locked engine door and the platform behind them turning solid with tentacled horrors. Two of the monsters drop into the track channel to follow. Station 101 is left behind as a lost room, and roughly a thousand people leave it alive.
