Story so far
Vengeance of the Daughter is the producer-run drama around Tsarina Signet's grief-war on the circus. Inside the big top, Carl deduced the writers' plan (Grimaldi dies, Signet gets in, Carl is the expendable guest star) and, via Zev, struck a deal: he would not un-poison Grimaldi and tank their finale if they agreed to make him a recurring star and let him complete only Vengeance-linked elite quests on the sixth floor. The producers accepted.
Carl then swallowed the vine's worms to speak for both sides, moved Grimaldi to un-banish Signet ('I have un-banished you, my love'), and cured himself — leaving Signet to enter the tent for their reunion as Carl bowed out. The quest, The Show Must Go On, completed, vaulting Carl from level 15 to 18. Zev's slip that 'both dramas' were playing out at once hints a second storyline is unfolding around the party.
