The Trainyard Boss Arena

the trainyard walls · the arena walls · the boss battle walls

Half-visible walls that come back the moment the death challenge starts: you can go in, you cannot come back out.

Story so far

Princess Donut works out the rule from outside and shouts it in capitals: the trainyard walls magically came back, but they are only half visible, like the boss battles on the first floor. She thinks Carl can go in but cannot come back — and she has proof, because she watched a Mimic Minion enter and then be unable to return to her. Carl's plan to angle around and run out dies on the spot; every named-train portal in the yard is off as well.

The party beats the wall rather than the rule. Rather than walking in, Li Na, Li Jun, Donut and Mongo jump in front of the moving portal cart and emerge out of the solid wall inside the yard, transferring through by portal. The arena closes when the fight ends without any closing announcement at all — the music simply stops.
