A prostitute-turned-krasue who dies mortal in the fire, giving Carl the key to the whole conspiracy.
Burgundy is the human woman with one pale-blue and one brown eye whom Carl and Princess-Donut met earlier on the magistrate's stairs. After Carl's Fireball scorches the Krasue nest, her headless corpse briefly flickers from monster to human — her lower body burnt to charcoal, but mortal again for a few minutes. Refusing healing (which would restore her body and re-curse her), she begs to be killed while still human, and uses her last strength to explain everything: lured from another settlement by the elves with the false promise of Desperado Club work and a chance to descend, she was instead brought to Miss-Quill and twisted by Remex into a krasue.
She names Quill — not Magistrate-Featherfall — as the true magistrate, reveals the feather-collecting scheme, and points Carl toward Remex's lair across the street, before Princess-Donut mercifully ends her with a Magic Missile as the building collapses.
