H'lene

the H'lene · the H'lene system

Six waystations near the galactic centre, all of them traps — and they were not actually mimics.

Story so far

Mordecai laughs when he spots the words "station mimic" written on the party's map, and explains the joke. In the early days of the The Syndicate, the H'lene system set up six waystations near the galactic centre. They were traps: the H'lene robbed and ate the travellers who stopped there and stole their technology. They were not really mimics, but they are often depicted as them.

The H'lene do not exist anymore. They were wiped out by the Valtay Corporation and the orcs. The dungeon has reproduced their six waystations exactly — which is why there are only six Station Mimics on the whole floor, and why Mordecai says the designers really went all out.

Role

An extinct predator civilisation, remembered as the original station mimics.
