The Def Leppard Cart
Raised exactly one foot so a cat can lean under it and shoot a province boss, then dropped again to swallow it.
Story so far
The hanging cart becomes a weapon platform. Li Na's plan requires it lifted just enough for someone to lean into the hole and get the attention of the Province Boss on the other side of The Space In-Between. The crane can only give an extra foot, which is enough for Princess Donut to put her head through and look — with the understanding that a single whisker touching the portal would send her to The Abyss, and with nobody willing to switch the portal off.
A group of crawlers detaches the chain and holds the cart up by hand while Carl threatens each of them individually not to drop it early. Donut fires, scrambles clear, and the crawlers groan the cart back down; Carl locks the upper chain and secures the lower one, and the moment he does the entire cart shudders as the boss is swallowed. Afterward something hammers the portal repeatedly from the far side — Prepotente, not a monster — and Katia Grim has to switch the portal off and stand ready to flip it back on. Carl claims these portals are stout enough that nothing can get through, while privately not knowing whether that is true.
Appearance
A rail cart hung nose-down from a five-legged crane over a hole in a station floor, chained top and bottom, its portal facing straight down.
Role
The plug in the floor's escape hatch, and briefly a firing port onto a province boss.
